SanMar further strengthened its grip on the #1 spot by increasing sales (according to Counselor’s estimates) by nearly 6% in 2023, which translates to an additional $200 million in sales. There’s now a nearly $1.5 billion gap between the Issaquah, WA-based company and its closest competitors. CEO and Counselor Power 50 member Jeremy Lott says the firm’s top achievements last year were “managing through the inventory challenges of the prior two years and entering 2024 in the best place from an inventory and service perspective since before the pandemic.” Another highlight: The supplier was recognized as a U.S. Best Managed company in May by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal.
