The second-largest distributor increased sales by 3%, reversing a revenue drop from the previous year. The Sterling, IL, firm, which has a history of purchasing companies big and small, announced a pair of acquisitions last year – Star Promotions in April and Think It Then Ink It in August. Jeffrey Wurtzel, HALO’s senior vice president of marketing, says the company’s greatest achievement last year was the success of its AEs and sales teams. “In a challenging market, we’ve stayed focused on investing in their growth,” he says, adding that this year HALO is “strengthening key offerings including client-facing technology, innovative selling tools and expanded service models.”
