Gemline may have only increased sales 1% last year, but President/CEO and Counselor Power 50 member Frank Carpenito notes the company achieved a number of significant milestones, such as entering the headwear and umbrella categories, launching over 650 new products, attaining B Corp certification and recording the second-highest revenue year in company history. The Lawrence, MA-based supplier also donated more than half a million dollars of cash and in-kind contributions to charitable organizations. Carpenito says the company is refining its inventory strategy and navigating the volatile tariff environment by leveraging a diversified supply chain, aiming for 80% of revenues from products sourced outside China by year-end.
