Goldstar tumbled 12 spots on this year’s list, with a 28.5% sales decline that the supplier says was due to “operational challenges.” Still, Heather Smartt, global head of Goldstar and a Counselor Power 50 member, described 2024 as a “banner year” for the company, pointing to its feat of completing a total global rebrand in just five months, “realigning our look and message to better reflect our vision,” she says. The firm also launched SimplyGlobal, a solution that enables distributors to place/manage orders across multiple geographic regions with just one PO. Sustainability remains paramount for the supplier, which earned FSC certification and a Bronze EcoVadis medal. Going forward, Smartt says, “Transparency is the name of the game. We’re focused on delivering clarity and consistency to our distributor partners.”
