Nearly 15% growth puts Sportsman Cap & Bag on the cusp of $200 million in sales – a record for the Lenexa, KS, supplier. President Dan Saferstein says caps and headwear are selling exceptionally well, including top sellers like the Richardson 112 trucker cap. The company’s relationship with S&S Activewear has also given it a big boost. Sportsman offers 17 different cap brands, “so our diversity allows us to remain competitive as fashion and caps change constantly,” Saferstein adds. The supplier’s top goal this year is to maintain its strong inventory position.
