Honoring Our Heroes: A Heartfelt Thank You from ASI

In early April, ASI employees came together in a powerful show of gratitude and support for our nation’s veterans. As part of our spring charity initiative, we collected an incredible 160 handwritten letters and notecards to honor 150 World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans. These heartfelt messages were hand-delivered on Monday, April 7, as the veterans embarked on a memorable daytrip to Washington, D.C., organized by the Bucks County Tour of Honor.

This initiative was a moving reminder of the impact small gestures can have. Your words of appreciation brought smiles, tears, and a deep sense of recognition to those who served our country with courage and sacrifice.

A Warm Welcome Home

Later that same day, ASI employees, veterans’ families, and community members gathered at Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA, to give the veterans a hero’s welcome home.

It was a joyful, emotional evening filled with music, cheers, and heartfelt thanks. We’re grateful to everyone who attended and helped spread the word to make the event a success.

The gathering included 99-year-old Mae Krier, one of fewer than 0.5% of the 16.4 million Americans who served in World War II and are still with us today. Mae is an original “Rosie the Riveter” and a Congressional Gold Medal recipient, pictured here in the white coat.
