Webinar Recap: 3 Free Tools to Elevate Your Marketing

The third webinar in our monthly webinar series focused on polishing your marketing strategy by choosing the right tools for your specific goals. If you missed it, don’t worry! We’re recapping all the valuable info here on the blog.

It’s time to elevate your marketing. We know that creating content and managing your marketing campaigns can be stressful, especially if you don’t have access to great tools or know where to start. The right tools help your overall marketing process by improving your efficiency and the quality of your content.

But which tools are best? It can be a tricky and time-consuming task to decide what works best for your individual needs.

For our webinar, we selected the three best free tools that can help you with everything from creating marketing content, to sourcing beautiful photography, to even scheduling your social media posts. These are three tools our team uses every day!

  1. Canva: This free tool allows you to create beautiful graphics from their templates or from scratch. We wrote an extensive blog about it here. From Facebook graphics and email header images, right through to postcards and presentations, you can design anything on Canva. It gives you the freedom and ability to create your own design without knowing the first thing about graphic design. It comes with loads of ready-made templates and cool graphics you can use for free, which means you can create amazing designs in minutes. As I mentioned earlier, it’s free to set up a Canva.com account, but to unlock certain features, you need to sign up for the pro version for a monthly fee.
  1. Unsplash: On the Unsplash website and in their app, you can search for photos by keyword, by collection or by topic. Unsplash groups their photos by categories like People, Business & Work, Nature and so on. Within the Topic section, you can browse until you find an image you like. After you've found an image you like, you can click on it, then scroll down and see related photos from the same photographer or scroll even further and see Related Collections. Then, download the image or images you like to your computer or phone. You can also create an account if you want to "favorite" a photo and create a collection of pictures. This is great for building marketing assets without the hassle of hiring a photographer. Other great alternatives for free stock photography include Pixabay and Pexels.
  1. Hootsuite: Instead of logging in individually and managing all your social media platforms manually, Hootsuite allows you to handle them all from a single dashboard. It allows you to schedule posts in advance, track conversations, measure engagement, manage your messages and oversee multiple profiles – all in one place. Hootsuite is popular for its free version, which allows you to manage up to two profiles and schedule five posts at one time. Choose from the most popular platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter or Pinterest. They also have a relatively inexpensive paid option for businesses that have more than two profiles they need or want to manage.

We walked viewers through a full demo of each of these tools in our webinar, which you can view here. If you’d like to sign up for our future webinars, visit our resources page.
