Marketing Campaigns We’re Swooning Over This Valentine’s Day

It’s that time of the year when we celebrate the people and things we love most, which means we’re rounding up our most beloved marketing campaigns to shower with flattery.

  1. Twix’s “Left Twix vs. Right Twix” campaign: We’re smitten with this campaign launched by Mars that boasts the tagline: “Try both and pick a side.” What makes it such creative marketing is that it plays off of the human instinct to pick sides in a debate.
  2. American Apparel’s Welcome Email: When it comes to love, sometimes it’s just about the simple things. This email campaign was created for newcomers to the American Apparel email list, and it’s so simple and to-the-point that we had to include it as an all-time favorite this year.
  3. Spotify Memes: Memes are the fine art of 2022, and Spotify used this medium in such a creative advertising campaign, it left us breathless. The campaign uses the “Me, Also Me” meme format that’s sweeping the globe, so it’s relatable, recognizable and super effective. It also made it an incredible social media campaign!
  4. LEGO’s Braille Bricks: Our first love as kids was LEGO’s and they’ve completely upped their game with Braille Bricks designed to help children with visual impairments learn to read Braille. Talk about creative marketing!
  5. Dove’s Reverse Selfie: Ok, it’s official – we’re in love, and it’s with an advertising campaign. Dove’s “Reverse Selfie” campaign brings awareness to the negative effects selfie culture is having on girls and young women. This is such an important cause, and the campaign, which boosted their overall brand image, is so well-executed, it has us swooning.
  6. FitBit’s What’s Strong With You?: We’re enamored with this social media campaign, aimed to highlight all different types of strength, from physical to mental and emotional. The campaign puts the product itself in the background and instead shines the spotlight on the product’s users in a truly swoon-worthy cinematic creation.
