While Koozie Group experienced a general trend of annual revenue declines that began before COVID-19, 2022 marked the second year in a row in which the Clearwater, FL-based firm increased sales. The supplier grew by 5.7% on the strength of sales in its most popular categories, including writing instruments, calendars and drinkware.

The company also continues to make strides on sustainability: For instance, Koozie Group and its sister company IMAGEN Brands (asi/93990) have pledged that by the end of 2024 they’ll be carbon-neutral on Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

There’s also been notable personnel developments, including a planned transition that saw David Klatt exiting the CEO role earlier this year to become a board adviser; the company said it was the conclusion of a five-year term after private equity firm H.I.G. Capital purchased what was then BIC Graphic in 2017. As of press time, a new CEO hadn’t been named but the company’s executive team, which includes Chief Revenue Officer Melissa Ralston, is working directly with the board to lead the business. In addition, Pierre Montaubin was promoted to chief product and sustainability officer and Phil Gergen rose to the title of CIO.
