This year has been a robust one for Deutsch, who oversaw his company’s mid-year acquisition of Dallas-based distributorship Idea Planet, which services well-known brands like Sega, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Chick-Fil-A and Samsung. Additionally, Deutsch, the minority owner in the NHL team the Seattle Kraken, led BDA – the company he co-founded – to open two new distribution centers in the Netherlands and Canada and expanded BDA’s Las Vegas office in conjunction with its lucrative partnership with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). While his Power 50 ranking dropped slightly due to peer voting, Deutsch predicted earlier this year that 2022’s sales would be “very big” for BDA and maintains that as the year winds to a close. And Deutsch, ever the “go big or go home” kind of guy, doubled down on the company’s future: “We’re going for another 30% growth year in 2023.”
