Nearly a year after acquiring fellow Top 40 supplier Sweda, SnugZ still faces integration issues affecting its customer service and is grappling with melding two disparate entities into one cohesive, streamlined and efficient supplier. “This year I’ve been reminded how human we all are,” says Brittany David. “It’s not how you treat people when things go your way, it’s how you treat people when things don’t go your way. You find out who your true supporters are during challenging times and come out on the other side stronger together. An acquisition is like a marathon – the most challenging parts are when you’re so close to the finish line, but the last two miles are just as heavy as the first 24.” Long-time industry vet Brandon Mackay concurs with David’s assessment: “We’ve endured many self-induced changes over the past year at SnugZ USA with our addition of Sweda and our new combined team has proven again they do hard things,” he says. “It’s hard to encapsulate those things in a simple quote, but we have a team of rockstars who are willing to put in the hard work and tears today for and incredibly bright future tomorrow.
