Why People Love to Work Here: “Compassionate leadership. There is a family-first mentality at Competitive Edge. We are a tight-knit group that truly cares about one another and our lives outside of the office. We’ve supported each other through the good times, like weddings and babies, and the terrible times of illness and deaths. Competitive Edge is also involved as much as possible in giving back to our community. Employees volunteer time with local churches, schools and organizations such as United Way, Girls on the Run and the Humane Society.”

Perks and Benefits: “Our company perks include flexible hours, CE SWAG and drink cart Fridays. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, our office closes at noon on Fridays so our staff can spend that time with friends and family and take advantage of the summer weather in our beautiful community. Let’s face it – everyone would rather be at the beach on a sunny Friday afternoon!”

Fun Things: “We have a Fun Committee dedicated to planning events for the whole staff to participate in each month. We bring in lunch or have a potluck lunch each month, taking advantage of the grill during the summer months. In recent years, we’ve had a Halloween party at a local brewery, given everyone $100 and gone to the casino, tailgated in the parking lot and played lawn games, and spent the afternoon at the bowling alley. Each year, we look forward to our Christmas tradition of lunch at a local restaurant known for its incredible food. We have an afternoon of steak, lobster and fellowship. We finish the lunch with a Christmas ornament exchange where we take turns opening wrapped packages and stealing favorite ornaments from each other.” – Sarah Hadley, account executive
