The Bright Side: PCNA Donates to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
The Top 40 supplier has provided 1,000 pounds of food items to the Steel City-area nonprofit and is hosting multiple food drives to generate additional donations to other do-gooding groups.
PCNA (asi/66887), a Top 40 supplier headquartered in New Kensington PA, has donated 1,000 pounds of perishable food items to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB).
The food bank’s goal is to increase access to nutritious food and foster long-term stability for those in need.
“Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s mission is to leverage the power of community to address hunger at its root causes. That means that we can’t do what we do – we can’t get food onto people’s plates – without dedicated groups like PCNA,” said Steve Farrell, community fundraising coordinator at the nonprofit.
Beyond the donation to GPCFB, the supplier is hosting multiple food drives at various PCNA facilities, including New Kensington, PA, Toronto, CA, and Miami, to help bring in additional donations for other nonprofits.
The organizations that will benefit are Westmoreland Food Bank, Feeding South Florida and Richmond Hill Community Food Bank, organizers said. The food drives are running this week.
The charitable initiatives are aligned with PCNA’s corporate responsibility goals, which include offering eco-friendly, sustainable products and partnering with charitable retail brands, according to Holly Brown, chief revenue officer at PCNA.
“We remain committed to leading the promotional products industry in areas of sustainability and social responsibility and hope to continue inspiring others to join us in this movement,” said Brown.
Based on reported North American promotional product revenue of $857.3 million, PCNA ranked fourth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
