Mindset Shifts & Storytelling: A Conversation With Mimi Brown
The sales, communication, leadership and influence expert will deliver a keynote address at ASI Fort Worth next month.
Security, familiarity and comfort can be good things, especially during tumultuous market and economic conditions. But they can also put a damper on growth.
“I’m a big fan of embracing change,” says Mimi Brown, a sales, communication, leadership and influence expert at AMP Up Success and a keynote speaker at the upcoming ASI Show in Fort Worth. “It’s a chance for you to show growth and set yourself apart. Real growth and security lie beyond the familiar.”
In this episode of Promo Insiders, Brown talks about mindset shifts needed to be bolder in sales – especially in the midst of market changes – the importance of storytelling to get to the close, and how critical it is to prepare for sales calls.
“A coach once told me that 99% preparation equals 1% perspiration,” says Brown. “The more likely I am to prepare, the less likely I am to sweat down the line because I know I’ve done my homework. Preparation determines your ability to establish rapport with your audience and understand the challenges and conditions they’re dealing with.”
