Springtime Sales Ideas and Sweet Treats
ASI Media editors continue the treat-tasting tradition with springtime candy combined with sales ideas for the new season.
Spring is here, and we’re celebrating. Executive Editors of Digital Content Theresa Hegel and Sara Lavenduski and Social Media Producer Elieza Bague (in her Promo Insiders debut) got together virtually to talk about favorite springtime activities, sample fun (and a few wacky) spring-themed treats and ways to leverage the new blooms and green grass to sell more promo.
Among the items found at nearby grocery stores were key lime Kit Kats, lemon Oreos, Reese’s peanut butter cups with marshmallow topping, chocolate pudding Peeps, fair trade chocolate eggs and even “space-” and marshmallow-flavored soda.
Bague recommends heading outside with products and taking lifestyle photos in the sunshine to promote on social media. “The weather’s getting warm, so you might as well bring your products outside and have photoshoots with them,” says Bague. “Even a touch of greenery or flowers can make your posts so nice.”
Meanwhile, encourage restaurant and bar clients to buy items that help end-users get outside, like outdoor signage and giant Jenga and checkerboard games for the patio or grass. “They’re fun and get people in the mood for picnics,” says Hegel. She also suggested a spring allergy aid bundle, including local honey and tissues. “People always focus on the good things of spring, but this is a little twist on that,” she says. “It’s a different way of entering the season.” Also consider travel items as people plan long-anticipated spring/summer trips.
