ASI Announces Top-Performing Suppliers At Counselor Distributor Choice Awards

Bag Makers honored as the 2020 Supplier of the Year

TREVOSE, PA – January 6, 2020 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) honored nearly 180 of the top-performing suppliers in the $24.7 billion promotional products industry and celebrated industry shopping bags leader Bag Makers (asi/37940) as the Supplier of the Year at the annual Counselor Distributor Choice Awards.

In addition, ASI honored the Counselor Supplier Sales Rep of the Year Charles Duggan, national and strategic accounts manager at Goldstar (asi/73295), and the Advantages Distributor Sales Rep of the Year Nick Mirabile, the vice president of merchandise and licensing at Strän Promotional Solutions (asi/337725).

For the Counselor Distributor Choice Awards, finalists are identified using the ASI Supplier Performance Ratings data. Then, ASI distributors across North America are invited to vote for their most valued supplier in each category. All told, 179 finalists qualified in 50 product categories. This year, distributors cast more than 44,000 votes, with Counselor honoring 41 different winning suppliers.

The individual winners, along with all the winning companies, were celebrated at an awards ceremony held during ASI’s yearly trade show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Union, IL-based Bag Makers, the Supplier of the Year, is a perennial Counselor Distributor Choice Award winner, dominating the shopping bags category. Founder and CEO Maribeth Sandford is also a past recipient of Counselor’s Woman of Distinction and Lifetime Achievement awards.
