Dri Duck Exec to Compete on New Amazon Prime Reality Show
Nicole Parker, vice president of Kansas City-based workwear brand Dri Duck (asi/ 50835), is gearing up for her big television debut.
Parker has been selected to compete on a new Amazon Prime reality series, The Social Movement.
The six-part series will follow Parker and 40 other leaders, entrepreneurs and investors as they work in teams to help nonprofits create a business strategy to solve socioeconomic issues, such as natural disasters, affordable healthcare, wage inequality and the education gap.
“I’m excited to collaborate with so many talented people with diverse backgrounds in this challenge,” Parker says. “Through this creative and potentially world-changing endeavor, I’m hopeful that we’ll bring home the win for the good of humanity.”
Parker will work with David Marks, the chief marketing officer of Operation Barbeque Relief (OBR). Based in Kansas City, OBR travels to areas devastated by severe weather to feed first responders and the people who have been affected.
“With a shared home base of Kansas City and the same core values of honesty and hard work, DRI-Duck’s partnership with OBR is a natural fit,” Parker says. She adds that she admires Marks for his “business acumen and compassion for others.”
The series, slated for a 2020 release, will film its finale in Montréal in July.
