Bill Korowitz and Dan Jellinek are making their second appearance together on the Counselor Power 50 list (after Jellinek notched his debut last year), but they’ve worked together at Counselor Top 40 supplier The Magnet Group (asi/68507) for the past 15 years. Jellinek says that Korowitz, as the CEO, can look at things “from 30,000 feet,” and Jellinek in his role as chief revenue officer can operate more at “street level.”

The setup is working, and also Korowitz hails the team’s ability to work through the macroeconomic issues the year presented. Meanwhile, “we’re growing in a choppy market,” Jellinek says. “It’s no different than companies trying to compare, and ideally outperform, the S&P. According to industry statistics, The Magnet Group is outperforming the market.”

Magnet felt that it was well-equipped for the tariffs of 2025, having been through a similar situation in 2019 and diversifying its product mix and supply chain accordingly.

“We always are facing some sort of challenge, whether it be tariffs, inflation, wars, COVID a few years ago, and I am sure something will come in somewhere,” Jellinek says. “You need to be strong, smart and resilient. Through the years, I have developed a confidence that we can overcome any and all. I think we’ve really learned to excel at turning challenges into opportunities.”
