Pittsburgh-based Pro Towels (asi/79750) has hit a milestone in its sustainability journey – earning a Silver rating from EcoVadis this month.
EcoVadis is a globally recognized assessment platform that rates businesses’ sustainability based on four key categories: environmental impact, labor and human rights standards, ethics, and procurement practices. A Silver medal denotes that Pro Towels is in the top 15% of participating companies worldwide.
“More than just a medal – this recognition is a testament to our commitment to responsible business practices and reinforces the high standards we uphold in our industry,” Pro Towels noted in a LinkedIn post.
EcoVadis has been gaining steam as a sustainability assessment tool in promo for several reasons. For one, it’s set up as a helpful tool in the supply chain. Plus, a few years ago, Counselor Top 40 distributor Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601) partnered with the platform and made a requirement that suppliers it works with go through the assessment as well.
Earlier this month, Charles River Apparel (asi/44620) announced that it had earned a Bronze medal from EcoVadis. Creative Studio Promotions & Technology (asi/170976) also recently shared the company’s EcoVadis Gold ranking. And in January Pop! Promos (asi/45657) noted that it had bumped its EcoVadis ranking from Bronze to Silver in its most recent assessment.
