The Bright Side: Koozie Group-Sponsored Service Dog Placed With Young Girl
Adorable pooch Bodie is the new best friend to Madison, a 4-year-old child from Texas who has nonverbal autism.
Key Takeaways
• Service Dog Placement: Thanks to a Koozie Group (asi/40480) sponsorship, 4 Paws for Ability trained and placed service dog Bodie with Madison, a girl with nonverbal autism.
• Family Impact: Bodie will help provide safety and companionship for Madison, her father said.
• Ongoing Support: Koozie Group continues supporting 4 Paws for Ability, with plans for future sponsorships.
Madison has a new four-legged best friend – thanks to Counselor Top 40 supplier Koozie Group (asi/40480).
Because of the Florida-headquartered firm’s sponsorship, nonprofit 4 Paws for Ability was able to train and place a service dog, Bodie, with Madison – a 4-year-old girl from Texas who has nonverbal autism.

Madison’s family is thrilled with the match.
“Bodie is an excellent, excellent dog,” said Cory, Madison’s dad. “I can’t wait to see the bond between Bodie and Madison grow and for them to be able to explore the world together safely. He’s going to give Madison freedom and be another caretaker for our family.”
Big things are in the cards for Bodie, including an upcoming trip to what some call the most magical place on Earth. “We are going to Disney this year, and Bodie will be helping with that trip quite a bit,” Cory shared. “We’re so excited for them to experience that together.”
Koozie Group has been supporting 4 Paws for Ability since 2022. The nonprofit breeds, raises, trains and places service dogs with children and veterans who have disabilities. Founded by Karen Shirk in 1998, the organization has grown from a one-bedroom apartment to a purpose-built campus in Xenia, OH, with more than 60 staff members and thousands of volunteers.
Bodie was the third dog Koozie Group has sponsored that has made it through training with 4 Paws for Ability and become an official service dog.
“We’re beyond thrilled to have a third service dog now making a positive difference for children experiencing health challenges and their families,” said Trisha Joyce, employee engagement and communications manager at Koozie Group. “It warms our hearts to support 4 Paws for Ability as part of our Keep It. Give It. program, and we can’t wait to continue our support in 2025.”
Based on reported 2023 North American promotional product revenue of $317 million, Koozie Group ranked seventh on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry. Mill Point Capital LLC, a New York City-based private equity firm, last week announced that it had acquired Koozie Group and is combining the firm with Garyline (asi/55990) – another Sunshine State-based Counselor Top 40 supplier that Mill Point already owns.
