Former Wayfair Chief Commercial Officer Dave DeSandre Joins VistaPrint

The subsidiary of Counselor Top 40 distributor Cimpress (asi/162149) announced this week that Dave DeSandre has joined the company as senior vice president of North America, category management. He comes to the distributor from Wayfair after eight years at the retail furniture giant. Most recently, he served as chief commercial officer of Wayfair’s B2B arm, which he helped scale into a multi-billion-dollar platform. Before Wayfair, DeSandre spent several years in consulting and private equity.

In his new role, DeSandre will define and lead VistaPrint’s North American business operations, with a focus on category transformation across product innovation, customer experience and commercial strategy execution. He will also partner cross-functionally to drive results across manufacturing, technology, product experience and marketing, according to the distributor.

DeSandre will report directly to VistaPrint CEO Florian Baumgartner.

Last month, Cimpress posted 7% Q1 growth, attributing some of its success to VistaPrint’s quarterly revenue, which grew 6% year over year to nearly $455 million. Cimpress said the spike was fueled by VistaPrint’s product innovation and Cimpress’ broad network of production facilities globally.
Cimpress ranked 11th on Counselor’s most recent list of top distributors in the industry, based on estimated North American promotional products revenue of $326.4 million.
