Newmarket, NH-based distributor PromoCentric (asi/300644) announced that it has acquired Screen Gems, an apparel decorator/distributor specializing in screen printing and embroidery that’s served the coastal communities of New Hampshire since 1989.
Financial terms of the deal were not released. However, PromoCentric noted that the acquisition will enhance its in-house custom screen-printing and embroidery capabilities.
“We are beyond excited to welcome Screen Gems to the PromoCentric family,” said Justin Gray, president of PromoCentric. “Screen Gems has built an incredible reputation, and we are honored to continue their legacy while introducing their customer base to the unmatched service and innovative solutions that PromoCentric is known for.”
Bill Skaff, former owner of Screen Gems, said PromoCentric will be a great fit for his company’s loyal clients.
“From the beginning, our goals at Screen Gems have always been to deliver quality, value and, most of all, service,” Skaff said. “We’re confident that PromoCentric shares these values and will uphold the standards our customers have come to trust.”
According to PromoCentric, customers can expect the same personalized service they’ve received from Screen Gems, backed by PromoCentric’s expertise and resources. “We are committed to making this process smooth and ensuring that all client’s needs are met with the utmost professionalism,” the firm said in a statement.
PromoCentric is in its 25th year of business. The company’s capabilities include onsite decoration and a full-service fulfillment and kitting center. The firm was projecting upward of $25 million in revenue for 2024. It also began last year with an acquisition, purchasing Mahwah, NJ-based Glazer Promos. That deal followed PromoCentric’s 2022 acquisition of Northeast Creations.
In 2024, mergers and acquisitions in the promotional products industry occurred at a quick clip, including multiple deals involving one Counselor Top 40 distributor acquiring another and international acquisitions. The activity was enough to make 2024 arguably promo’s most momentous year ever for M&A.
