Key Takeaways

• Cutie: Bodie, the newest service dog, got his name through a contest Logomark conducted.
• Committed: Bodie is among eight total dogs, in addition to two therapy dogs, that Logomark has sponsored through the Shelter to Soldier program.
He’s poised to make a big difference in the life of a military veteran in need, and now he has an adorable name.
Counselor Top 40 supplier Logomark (asi/67866) can explain.
The Tustin, CA-based firm dedicates a portion of money from sales of its iCool, Perka and Work lines to Shelter to Soldier, a nonprofit founded in 2012 whose mission includes adopting dogs from Southern California rescue organizations and shelters and training them to become psychiatric service dogs for post-9/11 active duty and military veterans.
At the recent PPAI Expo, Logomark held a contest in which attendees could suggest names for the newest service dog Logomark is sponsoring through its contributions to Shelter to Soldier. Logomark shared that nearly 300 distributors participated, the trade show floor booth buzzing as attendees wore Shelter to Soldier commemorative pins and submitted potential names.
In the end, Leez Osterstock of Counselor Top 40 distributor BAMKO (asi/131431) suggested the winning name – Bodie.
After training sponsored by Logomark, do-gooders from Shelter to Soldier will place the 10-month-old shepherd/lab mix with a post-9/11 U.S. military veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma.
Bodie is one of eight total dogs, in addition to two therapy dogs, that Logomark has sponsored through the Shelter to Soldier program. One of those pooches even stopped by Logomark’s PPAI booth to general delight, the supplier said.
“We had an unexpected treat when Hazel, one of our STS Canine Ambassador therapy dogs, made a special appearance,” said Michael Bistocchi, Logomark’s chief revenue officer. “Many distributors lined up to pet, hug and snuggle with her.”
Based on reported 2023 North American promotional products revenue of $119.5 million, Logomark ranked 14th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
