PromoShop (asi/300446) is already a big name in promo, but a new acquisition could allow it to expand its reach even further. The Counselor Top 40 distributor based in Los Angeles, has announced plans to acquire Ideas Unlimited (asi/229780), a boutique promo firm based in Memphis, TN. The deal will further strengthen PromoShop’s national footprint.

“Ideas Unlimited brings decades of expertise, a strong regional presence and a history of imaginative solutions,” said Kate Alavez, president of PromoShop and a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of most influential people in the industry. “Their team’s talent and Randa’s leadership enrich what PromoShop can offer nationwide. This is a significant step toward our continued growth.”

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

PromoShop has been recognized across the industry for its reach and impact, earning a place as the industry’s 32nd largest distributor based on 2024 promotional products revenue of $67.1 million. 

According to PromoShop, Ideas Unlimited is known for its innovative promotional strategies and exceptional client care. The distributor delivers tailored, memorable solutions to customers, attributes that PromoShop says has earned the firm loyal relationships with well-known brands and organizations.

Ideas Unlimited owner Randa Rosenblum, for her part, says the partnership represents an exciting new chapter for the firm, which her family founded in 1972.

“Our teams share the same dedication to creativity, integrity and client-first service,” she said. “I’m proud of the business we’ve built in Memphis, and I’m equally excited for the expanded opportunities this partnership will bring to our clients and staff.”

With six full-time employees, the firm will now operate under the brand name Ideas Unlimited powered by PromoShop.

PromoShop isn’t new to the M&A game. A little over a year ago, the firm acquired Del Mar, CA-headquartered distributorship JR Resources, a move that PromoShop CEO and Counselor Power 50 member Memo Kahan said was the company’s largest acquisition to date. The company posted a strong 2024, with revenue growth of 8%. Around that time, Kahan signaled to ASI Media that the company might make more acquisitions in the future.

“We’re always looking for opportunities,” he said.

Now with the acquisition of Ideas Unlimited, Kahan and his team are turning that goal into a reality.
