Key Takeaways

Expansion & Integration: Texas Art Embroidery/4EZtees.com (asi/53512) has acquired B-Bad Sportswear, a Houston-based cut-and-sew facility, and integrated it into their operations. This move is expected to enhance its service offerings and support its growth as a full-service supplier.

Leadership Addition: Renee Perry, founder of B-Bad Sportswear, will continue as vice president of operations.

Texas Art Embroidery/4EZtees.com (asi/53512) has acquired B-Bad Sportswear, a Houston-based cut-and-sew facility with a 40-year history in the sportswear, cheer and dance uniform space. The contract decorator said it renovated an area of its facility to accommodate the new operation, with B-Bad Sportswear officially opening in the new space on Feb. 28. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

“[The move] is going to bring a whole new service set to our customers and really help us continue to make progress as a decorator with full-service supplier offerings,” said Micah Stalarow, president of Texas Art Embroidery/4EZtees.com.

He added that B-Bad’s direct customer base will be rerouted to 4EZtees.com’s top distributor partners first, also taking geography into account.

The decorator is actively quoting custom projects and expects formal product offerings to become available in the coming weeks for Q2, with a new catalog to follow.

Renee Perry, founder of B-Bad Sportswear, will stay onboard full time as vice president of operations. Perry expressed excitement over beginning a new chapter of B-Bad as a member of the 4EZtees.com family.

After Texas Art Embroidery and 4EZtees.com merged back in 2022, the contract decorator has been on a growth trajectory. Last year, the company hired Mark Knoblauch, who has more than three decades of experience in the decorating industry, as vice president of operations. At the time, Texas Art Embroidery/4EZtees.com said the addition of Knoblauch would help with scaling and streamlining operations and leverage his experience building new divisions from scratch.
