Laura Guerrero has worked for 15 years in promotional products industry sales, including time at multiple Counselor Top 40 companies.

Such experience is a key reason why Baltimore-based supplier Towel Specialties (asi/91605) has tapped Guerrero to be its new vice president of sales.

Guerrero was most recently national accounts director at Pro Towels (asi/79750). Prior to that, she was in national account sales for Fossa Apparel (asi/55141). Among other sales role experiences, Guerrero worked for Sweda, a Counselor Top 40 supplier prior to it being acquired, as well as Counselor Top 40 distributor Geiger (asi/202900).

Guerrero is eager to make an impact at Towel Specialties.

As its name makes plain, Towel Specialties offers an array of towel options, but the firm also sells totes, blankets and robes. The Maryland company takes do-gooding seriously too, this year announcing two new giveback programs, including a partnership with Coral Vita, a Bahamian organization dedicated to saving coral reefs.

Towel Specialties is celebrating 40 years in business – a milestone Guerrero’s hiring helps punctuate, executives said.
