Tim Nale Named Chief Brand Officer at Proforma
Nale joins the Counselor Top 40 distributor with a technology background that had him in roles in promo and beyond, including NASA.
Tim Nale is back in the promo game.
The experienced executive, whose background includes technology leadership roles, has entered the C-suite at Counselor Top 40 distributor Proforma (asi/300094), taking the position of chief brand officer.
His charge? Collaborate closely with Chief Marketing Officer Charity Gibson to engineer marketing solutions fueled by powerful tech.
Nale’s appointment also teases big things ahead, executives said.
“Tim comes to Proforma with a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing technology,” said Michael Dobozy, Proforma’s chief technology officer. “We have launched a major initiative that will be underway very soon, and Tim’s expertise will be paramount in seeing it through to completion.”
Added Gibson: “Tim’s work will be instrumental in deploying what is sure to be a revolutionary advancement in the way our distributor owners go to market.”
Nale’s professional experience includes time as chief information officer at Counselor Top 40 supplier Koozie Group (asi/40480). During his earlier time in promo, Nale was also a co-founder and board member of PromoStandards, a nonprofit organization committed to improving supply chain and transactional efficiencies in the promo industry through technology.
Additionally, Nale has held technology leadership roles at Michelin, Boar’s Head and other companies. Most recently, he was chief technology officer/executive vice president of technology operations at LeadingResponse, a multichannel marketing solutions provider that serves law firms, financial advisers, estate planners, Medicare agents, preneed providers and senior living communities.
Nale began his career journey as a NASA researcher. He focused on the understanding, design and modeling of impact dampers in cryogenic environments.
Nale is pumped to be back in promo, particularly with Proforma.

Based on reported 2023 North American promotional product revenue of $638 million, Proforma ranked fifth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
