As early as day one on the job, employees, whom she refers to as “Memory Makers,” feel like they’ve always been a part of the team. “Our goal is to turn emotions into memories,” Dahlgren says, adding that though that’s often an individual experience, employees frequently say the same things when describing their workplace culture, calling it “exciting, unique, defined, strong, value-oriented and an extended family.”

COVID Changes: The supplier has stayed flexible throughout the pandemic, with some employees fully remote and others hybrid. “As with all manufacturers, some things can’t be done remotely, but we’ve been keeping our policies up-to-date to ensure [our team is] safe and in a healthy environment,” Dahlgren says. To help make the hybrid office function better, the company has increased communication, whether it’s HR sharing new benefits or COVID-related policies or management sharing the reasons behind certain decisions being made.

Parting Tip: “Stay true to who you are and don’t compromise on your culture and chemistry fit,” Dahlgren says. “Your values set the tone for the type of environment you desire. Compromising your values will have short-term and long-term effects, both positive and negative.”
