Stier and Miller rise five spots this year after expanding their USA-made Lanco manufacturing capabilities and acquiring supplier Fresh Beginnings in the summer, just before the Georgia-based promotional food gifts supplier nearly closed its doors forever. Those moves fit the pair’s outsized ambitions of the past few years that have resulted in a rash of acquisitions, aggressive partnerships with well-known food brands (such as M&M’s, Godiva and Jelly Belly) and a prescient move into kitting and pairing food with hard goods. Stier recently joined an expert panel during Promotions East in Atlantic City, where he discussed investments in HR and recruiting, and the importance of collaboration across the industry.
