Carleen Gray Named CEO of GroupeSTAHL
Gray has worked for more than two decades at the manufacturer of garment decoration materials and equipment.
GroupeSTAHL North America (asi/88984) has a new CEO, but it’s someone with a very familiar face.
Carleen Gray has taken over the chief executive role at the manufacturer of garment decoration materials and equipment. Gray has been with STAHLS’ for more than 20 years, most recently serving as executive vice president of sales and marketing and chief marketing officer.
“This position requires someone who can anticipate the future, understand the marketplace, and continually propel the company into new business ventures and product development opportunities,” said Ted Stahl, chairman of STAHLS’. “Gray’s commitment and vision for the future of the company will allow her, and STAHLS’, to succeed exponentially.”
According to STAHLS’, Gray has been integral to the company’s recent efforts to streamline global operations and realign divisions for greater efficiency. Her well-established relationships with key people at licensed brands, major sports leagues, colleges, and in other business channels will prove valuable in helping STAHLS’ grow and prosper, company executives said.
Gray’s appointment comes as STAHLS’ works to expand its business across North America. To meet the needs of an evolving market, one of Gray’s missions will be to enhance STAHLS’ strength in the on-demand customization segment. She’ll also be focused on evaluating business goals and mobilizing new operations to bolster the STAHLS’ brand, among other initiatives.
Gray succeeds Chris Lawson, who STAHLS’ said left the company earlier this year. Lawson began as CEO of STAHLS’ in 2014, having taken over after the retirement of Brian Sukarukoff.

These days, the company is a global leader in garment decoration equipment, materials, transfer technologies and decorated apparel.
