HALO Names New CFO, CIO
The Top 40 firm also appointed a leader in the area of business transformation.
HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000), the largest distributor by revenue in the North American promotional products industry, has made three important additions to its C-Suite, including hiring a new chief financial officer and chief information officer.
Hermant Kumar is taking over the role of CFO/executive vice president. He most recently served as CFO of Sol-Millennium Medical, a global healthcare company.
With extensive experience across industries, geographies and cultures, Kumar’s past experience also includes financial leadership roles for Baxter, American Express and Delphi Automotive Systems. Kumar will report directly to HALO CEO Marc Simon, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of the industry’s most influential people.
In another key move, HALO has installed Amit Gaur as senior vice president/chief information officer. Gaur has more than 20 years of technology, e-commerce and omni-channel retail experience. He previously served as CIO for On-Campus Marketing, and has held senior-level technology roles at companies that include licensed merchandise purveyor Fanatics. Reporting to HALO Chief Operating Officer Kevin Pollack, Gaur will lead HALO’s technology team and digital roadmap.
The third big appointment came with HALO naming Rose Arendarczyk senior vice president of business transformation. Also reporting to Pollack, Arendarczyk will oversee a new function at the Top 40 firm, focusing on enterprise project management, business technology and organizational change management. HALO said Arendarczyk is a veteran leader in business transformation, most recently serving as vice president of the enterprise project management office at employee benefits company Trustmark.
“Our growth has allowed us to both attract and invest in additional experienced leadership. Hemant, Amit and Rose will enhance our cultural emphasis on ingenuity and innovation,” said Simon “We are thrilled at the immediate and longer-term impacts they will provide to the growing services we provide to our clients.”
HALO reported 2021 North American promo product revenue of $822 million. That was good enough to rank the firm first on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
