Stahls’ Partners With NOBULL To Decorate at NFL Combine

The supplier is providing its UltraColor MAX transfers to help outfit athletes at the scouting event.

As college football players test their prowess at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Stahls’ (asi/88984) reps have been getting their own workout.

Stahls’ (asi/88984) has partnered with NOBULL to decorate athletic apparel for the NFL Scouting Combine.

The St. Clair Shores, MI-based supplier is providing its UltraColor MAX direct-to-film (DTF) transfers for all athlete and staff apparel at the event, partnering with NOBULL, the athletic apparel brand that was named the “official training partner” of the NFL in 2022.

Stahls’ employees have been working behind the scenes to prep apparel for the Combine and will be on-site during the event, which runs from Feb. 29 to March 3, to make any size changes or name and number adjustments for on-field athletes. All told, Stahls’ said it’s decorating 6,099 pieces of apparel and accessories for the 321 participating athletes.

Stahls’ is using its UltraColor MAX direct-to-film transfers for the NFL Combine.

Josh Ellsworth, chief revenue officer of GroupeSTAHL, said the NOBULL brand chose Stahls’ UltraColor MAX DTF transfers because of their high quality. “From the finished quality and durability to holding the OEKO-TEX 100 standard, these transfers have been engineered to perform at a different level,” he added. “With UltraColor MAX we can confidently say that DTF has arrived, and we’re excited to see it worn by the superstars of tomorrow.”

DTF transfers have seen explosive growth since being introduced into the promo industry a few years ago, thanks to their versatility and ease of use. Stahls’ UltraColor MAX transfers feature one-step, low-temp application that’s safe for performance wear, according to the supplier. They’re “lightweight, stretchable and durable enough to last one and off the field,” Stahls’ noted.

Stahls’ employees are no strangers to providing quick-turn, on-site decoration for the NFL. The company has been printing jerseys backstage for newly selected players at the NFL draft for over a decade, ensuring that each draftee has a custom-made jersey to wear when he takes the stage. The key to getting it right is planning and preparation, according to the firm.

A few years ago, Zach Ellsworth, now a senior vice president at Stahls’, described the atmosphere behind the scenes at the NFL draft as “a crazy calm,” adding that though it’s hectic, the decoration team operates like a well-oiled machine.
