Overall, he’s been with Outdoor Cap for nearly seven years, rising from inside sales associate to, most recently before the JUNK interim role, head of strategic development.
“Craig has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovative thinking during his time at Outdoor Cap,” said Jeanelle Harris, CEO of the Top 40 firm. “He approaches every challenge with a strategic mindset and a focus on finding solutions. I look forward to the future of JUNK Brands under Craig’s leadership.”
Mahan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting and an MBA from the University of Arkansas. His immediate goals for JUNK include increasing brand awareness, growing the customer base, and deepening strategic partnerships. Culture is also sharply in Mahan’s focus, as he’ll look to foster an environment that prioritizes innovation, teamwork and customer experience.
“I am thrilled to be a part of JUNK Brands and to lead such a dedicated team,” Mahan said. “I’m passionate about our products and our commitment to providing our customers with the highest-quality functional accessories to complement their active lifestyles.”
Founded in 2011, JUNK Brands offers apparel accessories, and is especially known for its sublimated performance headbands. The company prints and sews its headbands in Bentonville, AR, from imported performance materials.
Outdoor Cap Company debuted on Counselor’s Top 40 supplier list in 2022, ranking 28th based on reported 2021 North American promotional product revenue of $51.2 million.
