Bob Levitt is a promo lifer – having been in the industry since he was 19.

Now, he’ll be taking that experience to the Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC), an organization that works to promote the promotional products industry and be a resource for its members.

Levitt has been named executive director of SAAC. He had been serving as interim executive director since Sept. 2023. He did such an excellent job that the organization removed the “interim” tag.

“Bob’s extensive background in the industry, coupled with his proven track record of success, makes him the ideal leader to guide SAAC into the future,” said Amy Williams, president of SAAC’s Board of Directors.

As director, Levitt focused on enhancing member value, expanding educational opportunities and fostering strong industry partnerships. That’s laid a good foundation for SAAC’s 2024 strategic initiatives, which include continuing to provide valuable resources, networking opportunities and advocacy for members, while further revitalizing the association, the organization said.

“Bob’s tenure as interim executive director has already had a significant positive impact on our operations and member services,” Williams said. “We are confident in Bob’s ability to drive innovation and growth for our association and the industry at large.”

Levitt’s resume includes time with Top 40 distributors Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601), HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000) and PromoShop (asi/300446). Roles included vice president of sales at PromoShop and field sales director at Staples.

“I am honored to officially lead SAAC and continue working alongside our talented team, dedicated board and passionate members,” said Levitt.

SAAC was founded in 1953. This year’s SAAC Expo is in Anaheim, CA.
