Vans, USPS Team Up to Offer Promo Merchandise
The collection of Postal Service-branded Vans footwear and apparel is set to release November 29.
A special delivery is in the mail, so to speak, for fans of quirky streetwear collabs.
Vans, the popular skateboard lifestyle footwear and apparel brand, has teamed up with the United States Postal Service to release a limited-edition collection of USPS-branded merchandise.
Most of the USPS x Vans collaboration is set to release on Monday, Nov. 29 – Cyber Monday. Prices will range from $65 to $115 for footwear and $28 to $75 for apparel. On January 20, Vans’ Sk8-Hi Reissue “Priority Mail” sneaker will debut exclusively at Foot Locker.
Beyond the Sk8-Hi Reissue, the collection includes Vans footwear styles such as the Authentic, Old Skool and Sk8-Hi MTE. A palate of familiar postal service colors and emblems characterizes each piece.
As Sneaker News notes, “The Authentic goes with a straightforward all-over print of the classic logo against a gray black base; the Old Skool takes a classic letter envelope approach with all white and a stamp on the tongue; the Sk8-Hi MTE is inspired by the official uniforms of delivery workers; the Sk8-Hi Reissue takes after the Priority Mail packaging.”
The collab was getting high marks out of the gates from some streetwear enthusiasts.
“Vans’ USPS collaboration is as thoughtful as anything the sneaker giant has ever done,” Highsnobiety wrote. “Vans positions this collection as a tribute to the hard-working USPS staff who power through each chaotic holiday season.”
