Two South Dakota print and promo companies are becoming one.

Sioux Falls-based Panther Premier Print has acquired fellow Sioux Falls distributor Maximum Promotions (asi/264408), a company that has specialized in flags, flagpoles and custom appliqué banners for more than 40 years. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to Panther, Maximum Promotions and its owner Mark Nelsen bring decades of knowledge in flags and flagpoles, and will now allow Panther Premier Print to offer this expertise to its customer base.

“Mark Nelsen has built a strong reputation throughout the region based on customer relationships, service and specialized expertise,” said Aaron Mell, president and partner of Panther Premier Print. “The Maximum Promotions team brings decades of knowledge in flags and flagpoles, including not only product sales but the ongoing service and support customers need to maintain them.”

The acquisition also expands Panther’s ability to serve schools, universities, businesses and organizations with custom appliqué banners and other specialty banner applications, the distributor said. Maximum Promotions will now operate under the name “Maximum Promotions powered by Panther Premier Print.”

“For me, finding the right partner was about much more than selling a business,” Nelsen said. “I wanted to know that our customers would continue to be taken care of, that our employees would have opportunities going forward and that what we’ve built over the past 40 years would be respected. I am confident Panther is the right fit to carry that forward.”

Nelsen will remain involved during the transition, working with Panther and the Maximum Promotions team to help provide continuity for customers.

Panther Premier Print’s services include commercial printing, signage, apparel, promotional products, mailing and web-to-print storefront solutions.
