Many things changed since the start of the decade, but some things haven’t. It’s especially true as it applies to our Counselor 2024 Best Places to Work list. Trust, caring, collaboration, communication, empowerment – these aren’t just buzzwords, but core values that each company on our list lives up to every single day.

That doesn’t mean these companies are stuck in the past. “Flexibility” is the major trend of the moment; it was the highest-ranked field out of the 17 qualities that thousands of promo employees graded their companies on in our survey. And while it’s a reflection of the fact that nearly 90% of distributors on this year’s list have a hybrid or fully virtual work policy, flexibility was also readily mentioned by in-office distributors as well as suppliers who have personnel that need to be in-person. It indicates that the industry’s most progressive companies understand the power of putting personal needs first.

Over the span of four days this week, we will post a new group of company profiles based on their number of employees: Extra Large, Large, Medium, and Small. Companies were ranked overall as well as in their category – a recognition of the fact that a 10-person small business differs greatly from a 300 employee Top 40 company. Still, no matter their size, these 75 companies are setting an example for the rest of the promo industry to follow.
