Health Canada, CPSC Recall Toy Cars

Health Canada, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has recalled “My First Porsche” wooden toy cars from Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd., in Toronto, and Porsche Cars North America Inc. in Atlanta. The wheels and axles can detach from the car, posing a choking hazard. No injuries have been reported so far, and no ASI-listed companies were named in the recall.

The recalled wooden toys, manufactured by Bajo Produkcja in Poland, are blue with tan wheels and a black spoiler, and measure 4” long by 2” wide by 1.5” tall. The Porsche logo is printed on the front, and the word “Porsche” is printed on the sides. “Bajo” is printed on the underside, along with one of 12 different recalled lot numbers.

Approximately 350 cars were sold in Canada and 2,800 cars in the U.S. at Porsche dealers and online at shop4.porsche.com/usa and other websites. They were sold in Canada between July 2015 and April 2018 and in the U.S. between April 2015 through March 2018, for about $25.

Consumers should immediately take the toy away from children and either dispose of it or contact a local authorized Porsche dealer to return the car and receive a full refund.

Porsche Cars Canada Ltd. may be contacted at (800) 767-7243 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, by email at info@porsche.ca, or online at my.porsche.com/Canada.
