Kornit Digital Collaborates on Fashion Week Collection
The digital-printing manufacturer worked with designers threeASFOUR to demonstrate its sustainable, on-demand production capabilities.
Kornit Digital just did its little turn on the catwalk.
The Israel-based manufacturer of high-end digital textile printers collaborated with fashion designers threeASFOUR to show off its sustainable, on-demand fashion production technology. KUNDALINI, a new collection from threeASFOUR, was produced using Kornit’s MAX technology. The collection premiered on Sept. 8 at New York Fashion Week.
Founded in 2005, threeASFOUR is known for fusing cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship. The designers worked closely with Kornit to produce garments quickly and with less waste, while remaining true to their artistic vision. Kornit technology allowed the designers to shrink design cycles to days – or even hours – a significant time savings compared to traditional fashion production, according to a press release from Kornit.
“Collaborating with top global designers like threeASFOUR demonstrates that fashion production can be cleaner and more sustainable, while also being efficient and more responsive to inspiration and creativity,” said Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit.
Back in March, Kornit hosted a fashion week event in Tel Aviv, presenting the works of 40 of Israel’s most prominent fashion designers. The success of that event prompted Kornit to expand into other venues, like New York Fashion Week, according to Samuel. The manufacturer is also creating partnerships in Los Angeles, London and other global fashion hubs, he added.
“This collaboration with threeASFOUR is another step on our journey to become the operating system for on-demand, sustainable, proximity fashion,” Samuel said.
Adi Gil, creative director at threeASFOUR, said her team was excited about the “infinite design freedom” that Kornit’s solutions offer the fashion industry and how they can help grow the designers’ brand and raise its profile in the marketplace.

Kornit Digital’s on-demand production ecosystem uses considerably less water and energy and generates far fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional analog production processes, according to the company.
The Spring/Summer 2022 New York Fashion Week schedule runs through Sept. 12.
