Tom Brady Tops NFLPA Merch Sales Rankings
There’ll be no Super Bowl for the GOAT this year, but he still leads the way when it comes to sales of branded merchandise.
Tom is still on top.
Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time, is not playing in the big game this year and has just announced his retirement from football.
Nonetheless, Brady still came in first place on the National Football League Players Association’s most recent Top 50 Player Sales List, a ranking that measures which individual player’s branded merchandise generates the most sales.

Quarterbacks ruled the top five. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes came in second, followed by Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys, Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Mac Jones of the New England Patriots.
Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow, who is in the Super Bowl, placed 10th. Matthew Stafford, Burrow’s counterpart on the Los Angeles Rams, the Bengals’ competition in Super Bowl LVI, finished 33rd overall.
Rounding out the top 10 was Justin Fields (Chicago Bears) CeeDee Lamb (Cowboys), George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers) and Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens).
The rankings are based on sales of officially licensed, NFL player-branded merchandise sold from online and traditional retail outlets as reported by over 85 NFLPA licensees, including Fanatics, Outerstuff, Nike, Fathead, FOCO and Funko. These most recent rankings pertain to the timeframe of March 1 through November 30, 2021.
Licensed product categories covered in the analysis include trading cards, game jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, backpacks, wall decals, pennants, collectible figurines, matted and framed photos, bobbleheads, plush toys, drinkware and pet products.
In a separate analysis released by retailer Lids, Brady’s dominance was also apparent. His was Lids’ top-selling jersey in 17 states for the 2021-22 season:

Back with the NFLPA rankings, the study featured breakdowns of top-selling players in particular product categories. For instance, the top five NFL players in jersey sales combined from retailer Fanatics and collegiate jerseys from Fanatics, adidas and Under Armour were Brady, Mahomes, Prescott, Allen and Jones.
Meanwhile, the top five player bobbleheads made by FOCO were Brady, Mahomes, Fields, Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Mahomes led sales of collegiate co-branded drinkware from GameTime Sidekicks, followed by Burrow.
Allen and Lawrence were in a dead heat in sales of commemorative footballs from Rawlings, while Allen led in sales of WinCraft pins, can coolers, posters and stickers.
